Business Education Conversation Presentations
On May 30 and 31, 2012, more than 50 business leaders from across the state participated in a day and half long education summit, co-sponsored by the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation. The purpose of the convening was to examine the connections between the business community and the need for a strong system of public education, as well as to provide a platform for business leaders to explore and discuss their engagement preferences for supporting the future of public education. Along with Governors Perdue, Hunt and Holshouser, the meeting featured an impressive array of speakers from across the country, both within the public and private sectors.
