ZSR awards $60,000 to Swiss Bear Downtown Development Corporation Two-year grant to boost business development by creating an entrepreneurial hub for Craven County and surrounding areas
The effort to open the new Entrepreneur Center of Craven County in downtown New Bern has received a $60,000 grant from a Winston-Salem foundation.
The two-year grant was awarded to Swiss Bear Downtown Development Corp. by the trustees of the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation to support the Entrepreneur Center.
The center will be located in a now-vacant, county-owned building at 509 Broad St. It will serve as an incubator and community resource center for entrepreneurs and small business owners who are looking to collaborate and launch potential business ventures.
