Maurice B. Tosé II “Bear”

Maurice B. Tosé II “Bear” joined the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation as a Fellow in July 2018. Bear received his Bachelors of Arts in Policy Studies from Elon University with a concentration in economic and social policy analysis. During his time at Elon, Bear worked with various nonprofit organizations to promote service learning and civic engagement opportunities for students in the local community, undertook an extensive undergraduate research thesis through the honors program that evaluated Greensboro’s participatory budgeting initiative, and co-founded the campus’ first Native American Student Association. Bear is a native of Annapolis, Maryland, but considers North Carolina to be his home for the foreseeable future and is enthusiastic about offering his service.
