Brief Update on ZSR's Emerging Direction From Executive Director Maurice "Mo" Green

Announcements

Dear Friends,

I hope you are doing well.

As many of you know, over the course of the past year, the Foundation has been working on the design and development of its emerging direction.

As you will recall, in June 2017, after a yearlong strategic assessment and planning process, we provided an update on our emerging direction, which is comprised of three major strategies: a state-level strategy, a community-based strategy, and an exploratory, visionary ideas strategy. We also have committed to being a learning organization, augmenting our participation in our hometown of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, adhering to our core values, and using a racial equity lens to underpin all of our work.

Trustees and staff continued discussions about each of these strategies during the Trustees’ bi-annual meeting on May 17-19, 2018 in Winston-Salem.

We have made good progress and in late June, are planning to provide more information about our emerging direction and upcoming grant opportunities.

We continue to remain grateful for all the work you are doing to make North Carolina a better place for all.

Sincerely,

Maurice “Mo” Green
Executive Director, Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation
