The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation announced Thursday plans to begin a year-long strategic assessment of its approach to making grants and the broader work it performs, with a new strategic plan to be unveiled in May 2017.
The examination of the foundation's approach and operation comes after it last month welcomed Maurice "Mo" Green, former superintendent of Guilford County Schools, as its new executive director. He follows Leslie Winner in the role.
