Last week, ZSR’s Board of Trustees authorized $795,000 in initial emergency relief funding to 28 nonprofit organizations serving communities affected by Hurricane Helene.
The grants will be used for many purposes, including supporting farmers whose crops were destroyed, ensuring voter enfranchisement, assisting small business recovery, and providing legal services (e.g., helping people file FEMA claims).
