VIDEO: Levine Museum of the New South

The Levine Museum of the New South is an interpretive history museum that tells the history of Charlotte and the Southern Piedmont from 1965 to the present. In September 2015, the Museum launched a new exhibit called ¡NUEVOlution! Latinos and the New South. This bilingual, interactive exhibit features robust programming, dialogue sessions, collaborative art, and online media. It explores ways in which Latinos are shaping the South and the South is shaping Latinos.

The exhibit aims to engage Latinos of many backgrounds together with non-Latinos – serving as a catalyst for personal reflection, cross-cultural interaction and community engagement. It is intended to create spaces, both physical and virtual, to deepen understanding of Latinos' histories, cultures and experiences, and to foster connections across differences.
