True and lasting change grows from the ground up. As we traveled across the state, people told us that they wanted to cross lines of difference and geographic boundaries to make meaningful connections with one another and pursue positive change in their communities. We know that every community has unique assets and opportunities for improving the lives of its residents, and that their visions, plans and ideas for change cannot use a one-size-fits-all approach. Therefore, we have dedicated a funding strategy that explicitly focuses on change at the community level. Our community-based strategy is designed to apply a lens of racial equity, diversity and inclusion and will allow us to learn alongside communities.
ZSR's Community-Based Strategy includes two approaches: A Collaborative Problem-Solving approach and a Community Progress Fund.
