The White House recently named Daryl Atkinson – staff attorney with ZSR grantee, Southern Coalition for Social Justice – a Re-Entry and Employment Champion of Change. According to a White House press release, “the Champions have distinguished themselves through their extraordinary dedication and hard work to help those with criminal records re-enter society with dignity and viable employment opportunities.” The White House’s Champions of Change program honors everyday Americans doing extraordinary things in their communities.
